Influence Network was born into a world where gaining mind share of potential customers is increasingly difficult and where word-of-mouth marketing is more critical than ever.

Study after study has shown the power of word-of-mouth. Nielsen found that 90% of consumers trust peer recommendations while only 33% trust ads, and that 77% of consumers are more likely to buy a product when it’s recommended by an advocate. Confirming this The Boston Consulting Group reports that 2/3 of the respondents in a recent survey consult friends and family and half consult other consumers’ opinions online before purchasing. This is true not only in the B2C world but in B2B industries as well, where a Forrester study found that 70-90% of a buyer’s journey is completed prior to engaging with a vendor.
